No Unilever products are tested on animals, and our company is committed to completely ending animal experimentation. The vast majority of our products reach the consumer without their raw materials having been tested on animals. There are certain cases, in which particular testing is demanded by law or there is no other alternative for meeting the regulatory requirements in some countries.
Since the beginning of 2014, a law has been in effect in Israel prohibiting the marketing of cosmetics where the production process includes animal experimentation, and the Ministry of Health has determined authorized alternative testing methods. All Unilever products marketed in Israel comply, of course, with these requirements.

In the case of an allergic reaction, stop using the product immediately.

Simple understands that perfumes can cause reactions for some skin types. We believe that facial skin care products need to be appropriate for all skin types, even the most sensitive, and therefore we do not include artificial scents in any of our products. Due to the lack of artificial scents, our products retain the natural scent of the ingredients, or sometimes have no smell at all—in any case it is for a good reason!
-
During pregnancy, your skin becomes more sensitive and your sense of smell can be stronger, so look for products with no perfumes or artificial colors, or harsh chemicals that can irritate your skin.
-

To maintain healthy skin, we need to use the right products and adopt an appropriate beauty routine, including applying the beauty products to our face in the correct order.
Step 1: Make-up removal: cleansing wipes/make-up remover/micellar cleansing water
Step 2: Thorough cleansing: micellar cleansing water/facial wash
Step 3: Moisturizing: some type of moisturizing cream
Step 4: Skin nurturing: masks and serums
Our brand series offer a complete nurture routine, and these series will eventually include an expanded range of products.

All our products have undergone rigorous and stringent dermatologist-supervised clinical testing. Here is a list of the tests and the purpose of each:
· A dermatological test - the purpose of the test is to examine whether a particular product can cause redness or trigger irritation in people with normal, healthy skin. The test is conducted by a dermatologist.
· A test for the claim of being “hypoallergenic” - the purpose is to determine whether the cosmetic can trigger an allergy in people with normal skin. Here, too, the testing is carried out by a dermatologist.
· A test for the product’s suitability for sensitive skin - the purpose is to determine whether the cosmetic can trigger irritation in people with sensitive skin. The test is only considered admissible if all results are negative, making the test extremely stringent.
· A test for the claim of being “non-comedogenic” - the purpose is to examine whether there is an increase in the number of comedones (black spots) after using the tested cosmetic.
· An ophthalmological test - this test is carried out for products intended for use in and around the eyes. The purpose of the test is to check whether the cosmetic causes sensitivity to the eyes. It is carried out by an ophthalmologist.
Each product package notes which clinical tests it has undergone.

You can use the same product to remove make-up from the face and eyes, but using separate products can improve cleansing results! The eye-cleansing products contain different types of ingredients, to enable easy and thorough removal of dirt and makeup, including waterproof mascara.
-
Cleansing water is a liquid that generally completes facial cleansing. It is used to collect waste and dirt, close pores, and rebalance the pH level, which is the skin’s basic initial protective level. Cleansing water should only be used after using cleansing milk or facial wash.
The two main ways in which it differs from micellar cleansing water are:
1. Cleansing water usually contains alcohol that helps clean the skin, but dries it out and causes the skin to feel it lacks moisture, elasticity, and comfort. In contrast, micellar cleansing water performs the same cleansing action gently and effectively, and does not contain alcohol that dries out the skin, but rather essential ingredients that increase the skin’s moisture levels.
Micellar cleansing water can be used as a daily cleanser as the first step in a daily beauty routine for gentle cleansing and make-up removal, and, most importantly - it does not need to be rinsed off afterwards.
-
There is no one answer to this question. Each product has its own functionality and where the time element is noted, it will be found on the product label. For a cleansing or makeup removal product, the results for cleanliness are for the particular point in time when the product is applied, whereas for moisturising there is reference to both the immediate effect as well as the later one for regular and long-term use.
-
The current range of products does not have any specific products for extremely oily or acne-prone skin. However, skin suffering from acne is usually sensitive and delicate, oily or extremely oily, and requires thorough yet gentle cleansing for the face.
When treating this type of skin, you can use cleansing and moisturizing products suitable for all skin types that were tested in clinical tests and found to also be suitable for sensitive and delicate skin, without perfumes or artificial colors, and without harsh chemicals that can irritate the skin.
The series are comprised of products for thorough and gentle cleansing, such as micellar cleansing water and products for caring for and moisturizing the skin, that contain gentle skin-friendly ingredients that do not clog the pores.
-
Of course. There is no reason for men not to use the products, actually quite the opposite.
-
There is no specific mention or claim about anti-aging on the products, and this is also irrelevant for the market the brand targets. However, to maintain healthy, glowing and young-looking skin for many years ahead, we recommend beginning to care for facial skin from a young age, using a beauty care routine and the right products that do not cause redness or irritation to the skin, but rather pamper it.
All our products contain gentle, skin-friendly ingredients and have been dermatologist tested using rigorous and stringent clinical testing, but do not contain perfumes or artificial colors, nor harsh chemicals that can irritate the skin. (The Kind to Skin series does not contain alcohol, parabens, or animal-derived ingredients.)
-
To expand on the previous answer - our products do not irritate the skin or upset its natural balance for skin cleanliness or moisture, and therefore benefit all ages from young to old. However, our target market is young, and therefore we currently do not have products marketed specifically to the older market.
